| ETP kicks off 2011
The ETP Food for Life started 2011 with its working groups, key thrusts and task forces meeting in order to work towards the new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). The SRIA reflects the Commission’s new structure (DG Research and Innovation) and is more in the line with the principles of the Innovation Union Initiative under the EU 2020 strategy using innovation as driving force to address future challenges in society.
ETP participates in Commission consultation on future EU research and innovation funding
The European Commission has published its Green Paper on the Common Strategic Framework for Research and Innovation Funding. This Green Paper launches a consultation to facilitate improvement and development of research funding programmes to succeed FP7 post 2014.

Trophelia competition to award student ecological innovation
Trophelia Europe is a European competition to encourage students from universities to compete in the development of new innovative food products. | Ninth meeting of the National Technology Platforms Food for Life in Budapest
The National Technology Platforms (NTPs) Food for Life are organising their ninth meeting on 2 May in Budapest. This meeting will be held in cooperation with the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and it represents a unique opportunity for our network to discuss the new research and innovation priorities for the European food and drink industry.
