Spanish Presidency Conference: The European Framework Programmes - From Economic Recovery to Sustainability
The Spanish Presidency of the European Union, the European Commission, and the Regional Government of Valencia are organising the conference 'The European Framework Programmes: From Economic Recovery to Sustainability' that will take place in Valencia from 13 - 14 April 2010.
As part of the European Economic Recovery Plan, three Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) have been set up: Factories of the Future, Energy-Efficient Buildings and the European Green Cars Initiative. At the conference a new Public Private Partnership on the Future Internet will be launched.
As a major Spanish EU Presidency event, the conference will bring together high-level stakeholders from the different PPPs and will give an overview of the latest developments of each PPP and will look towards their future.
The conference will be the core event of the 'FP7: European Innovation and Research and Technological Development Transforming Sectors' week. Numerous side events will take place during the week including meetings of the Networked European Software and Services Initiative (NESSI) European Technology Platform, the CELTIC telecommunications systems Eureka cluster programme, the fifth Future Internet Assembly (FIA) and many other co-located events organised together with the European Commission. The conference and its side events will allow for effective networking and building future stakeholder communities.
