I wish to sincerely thank you for your very qualified and motivated participation in the 14thIBS. Your active support contributed to make this IBS edition successful.

More than 1600 Delegates from 70 different Nations, 85 Invited Lectures, 330 Oral Communications, 1100 Poster Presentations, 1500 Abstracts published on Journal of Biotechnology and 6 hosted international Satellite Events (organized by OECD, EFB, ERA-Net Industrial Biotechnology, ERA-NET EuroTransBio, the National Technology Platforms Food for Life active in Europe, Cost action CASCAT, etc) along with the brokerage meetings on the main topics addressed by the 2011 calls launched by the European Commission are only few of the main features of the 14thIBS.
These data along with the good quality of several scientific contributions, of the discussions, and most importantly, of the atmosphere of the conference, make me believe that 14thIBS was a very successful event and that it would remarkably contribute to promote biotechnology in several Countries of the world and the mutual international cooperation on the most prominent areas of the sector.
