Dear Sir/ Madam

I am writing to formally invite you to join us for a dynamic discussion on 14 February in Brussels, on how industry and European policymakers can work together to significantly increase resource efficiency without jeopardising the competitiveness of EU companies.  It will be an opportunity to test out the findings with you of the DG Enterprise commissioned report on 'The competitiveness of European Companies and Resource Efficiency'.

A signed invitation letter and draft agenda are attached.  It will take place on 14 February 2011, from 9.30 - 5.15 at the European Commission, Centre Albert Borschette, Rue Froissart 36, 1040 Brussels, Belgium.

We are also pleased to invite you for lunch on the day to facilitate peer networking and fruitful exchanges.

Unfortunately I understand that some invitees did not receive the 'save the date' email sent before the break due to a technical issue. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise, and I do hope you will be able to join us.  For those that have not already done so, I would ask you to please confirm your participation to georgina.watts@ec.europa.eu by 7 February at the latest, so that we can send you the draft report ahead of the meeting.
