I am pleased to confirm the next Resource Efficiency Alliance think tank meeting on Rio +20 on June 8th from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm which will take place at:

On the agenda :

1. Rio+20 state of progress. Feedback after CSD and a meeting with the UN Rio+20 Secretariat.

2.  Date and agenda of the Conference which will be hosted by the President of the European and Social Committee and the President of the European Committee of Regions  in December 2011 preparing Rio +20 and targeting European sustainability leaders, champions and front runners who should leverage their soft power and network.  
Questions to be debated (see working note n°1 attached):

• what do we mean by ‘transformative partnerships’ .
• who are the European  leaders, front runners, champions of the green economy?
• how can they, thanks to their friendship and networking, organize themselves to scale up successful partnerships initiatives and best practices in Europe and in the World?

3. What recommendations to suggest during the Conference 2011  to share the natural, financial and immaterial resources to move towards more security, prosperity and well-being?
Questions to be debated :

• From CSR to Integrated Reporting and Accountability. Towards a Global Convention process to be launched at Rio + 20 ? (see working note 2 attached as well).
• from UN ‘Principles of Responsible Investment’ to a ‘Financial Industry Covenant’ to mobilize private capital in support to a green economy ?
• a EU-Med Green Economy ‘Initiative’ ?
• others ?
